Con el propósito de garantizar la seguridad, el orden público y el normal desarrollo de las elecciones al Congreso de la República, la Alcaldía de Yopal expidió el Decreto 009 del 9 de enero de 2026, mediante el cual se establecen una serie de medidas relacionadas con movilidad, control al espacio público y regulación de la publicidad política durante el proceso electoral.
La decisión busca prevenir alteraciones del orden público y asegurar condiciones de transparencia y convivencia ciudadana antes y durante la jornada electoral en la capital casanareña.Entre las principales disposiciones del decreto se encuentran controles a la propaganda política, estableciendo reglas para la instalación de publicidad en espacios públicos y privados, con el fin de evitar contaminación visual y garantizar que la propaganda se ubique únicamente en los lugares autorizados por la administración municipal.
Asimismo, el documento contempla medidas de control sobre la movilidad y el uso del espacio público, facultando a las autoridades locales y a la fuerza pública para realizar operativos de vigilancia, inspección y control que permitan mantener la tranquilidad ciudadana durante las actividades políticas y en la jornada de votación.
El decreto también establece que las autoridades municipales, en coordinación con la Policía Nacional y demás organismos de seguridad, vigilarán el cumplimiento de las disposiciones electorales, especialmente aquellas relacionadas con eventos políticos, propaganda, y comportamientos que puedan afectar la convivencia o el desarrollo normal del proceso democrático.
Las autoridades advirtieron que el incumplimiento de las medidas podrá acarrear sanciones, conforme a lo establecido en el Código Nacional de Seguridad y Convivencia Ciudadana, incluyendo el retiro de publicidad instalada en lugares no autorizados y otras medidas correctivas.
Con estas disposiciones, la Alcaldía de Yopal busca asegurar que las elecciones al Congreso se desarrollen en un ambiente de respeto, seguridad y garantías para los ciudadanos y los actores políticos en el municipio.
