Diez integrantes del Cuerpo de Bomberos Voluntarios de Yopal fueron seleccionados para hacer parte del USAR COL 1, la Selección Colombia de Búsqueda y Rescate, uno de los equipos de respuesta a emergencias más especializados del país.
La designación se da en el marco del Programa Nacional de Búsqueda y Rescate, coordinado por la Unidad Nacional para la Gestión del Riesgo de Desastres (UNGRD), y responde al cumplimiento de estándares internacionales avalados por Naciones Unidas para la atención de emergencias de alta complejidad.
Con esta selección, Yopal se consolida como un referente nacional en capacidades de búsqueda y rescate, gracias a la preparación técnica, disciplina y experiencia operativa de su cuerpo bomberil.
Los bomberos seleccionados son Camilo Zamudio, Lewis Ardila, Yovannys Castrillón, Favian Auzaque, Yeison Carrillo, Adela González, Karin Castañeda, Yecid Largo, Camilo Teuta y Wilder Chaparro. Al equipo se suma Alejandro Ramírez, bombero e ingeniero civil, quien hace parte de la Dirección Nacional de Gestión del Riesgo.
Actualmente, los rescatistas se encuentran en la ciudad de Armenia, Quindío, participando en un curso de actualización, requisito clave para mantener la certificación y la capacidad operativa del equipo USAR.
Con esta designación, Casanare aporta talento humano capacitado para responder a escenarios de desastre tanto a nivel nacional como internacional.
