Tras los hechos de violencia que han dejado 4 lideres comunales muertos en el Morro, en los últimos
diez años, se está retomando el tema de
ubicar una subestación de la Policía Nacional en el corregimiento petrolero de
Yopal.
Sin embargo, habrá que esperar cuál es la respuesta de la
Dirección de la Policía Nacional, quien ha manifestado en varias oportunidades
que no es necesario traer más pie de fuerza a Yopal, porque los índices de
inseguridad no son tan altos como los que se registran en otras ciudades del país.
En comunicado de prensa, la Alcaldía de Yopal, informó
que “allí se cuenta con seguridad permanente por parte de la Policía Nacional,
donde las unidades hacen rondas por el casco urbano, además se tiene la
presencia del Ejército Nacional que hace control en la vía Yopal – El Morro”.
La Alcaldía de Yopal, a través de la Secretaría de
Gobierno, hizo un llamado a la comunidad, para que sea solidaria con las
autoridades, con el fin de agilizar las investigaciones pertinentes.
