De acuerdo con la información preliminar, la víctima se movilizaba en una motocicleta cuando, por causas que son materia de investigación, perdió el control del vehículo y terminó impactando violentamente contra el talud de la vía. Como consecuencia del choque, la conductora sufrió un trauma craneoencefálico severo.
Personal de atención prehospitalaria acudió de inmediato al lugar del siniestro, brindando maniobras de soporte vital y reanimación durante el traslado al centro asistencial. Sin embargo, pese a los esfuerzos del equipo de emergencias y del personal médico de la ESE Hospital, la joven falleció debido a la gravedad de sus lesiones.
El Cuerpo de Bomberos de Tauramena lamentó profundamente lo ocurrido y expresó un mensaje de solidaridad y condolencias a los familiares y seres queridos de la víctima en este difícil momento.
