Uniminuto tendrá sede en Yopal
Lograr que Yopal se posicione cada vez más como una universitaria, es el propósito del Gobernador Alirio Barrera quien está propiciando las condiciones básicas para lograr que varias instituciones puedan contar con una sede apropiada para implementar diferentes programas pedagógicos de educación superior.
Una de las últimas acciones de gobierno de Alirio Barrera fue conseguir que la Asamblea Departamental autorizara a la Gobernación de Casanare a entregar por tres años mediante comodato N° 503 del 2017, las instalaciones de la antigua oficina de vivienda Departamental, en donde funcionará la sede administrativa de la Corporación Universitaria Minuto de Dios en Yopal.
Con este logro, se apunta a cumplir tres líneas de su Plan de Desarrollo: Primero, al programa “Casanare Con Paso Firme por la garantía del acceso y permanencia educativa”; la óptima utilización de inmuebles del Departamento y tercero el sello único que ha puesto Uniminuto en la región, con la formación de comunidades en los diferentes sectores productivos y educación media en Casanare.
El proceso
La formalización se dio el viernes 2 de junio. Se contó con la presencia de Doris Bernal gobernadora encargada; el Rector de Uniminuto Harold Castilla; las secretarías de Educación, Agricultura, General y por su puesto la Asamblea Departamental, que cumplió un papel escencial en este proceso.
Doris Bernal afirmó que “este es el resultado de casi un año de acercamientos con Uniminuto, en cabeza del gobernador Josué Alirio Barrera, quien venía anunciando que traería la Universidad, con un impacto que trasciende del tema educativo y llega a nivel social, cultural y económico”.

Uniminuto en Casanare
Cabe destacar, que la Corporación Universitaria viene trabajando hace tres años en el municipio de Orocué, con la especialización en Gerencia de Proyectos, programa que dio fruto a través de 17 casanareños que se graduaron este mismo día (2 de junio del 2017), entre ellos, el Alcalde de dicho municipio.
Por ahora, se espera la aprobación de los programas académicos por parte del Ministerio de Educación Nacional, los cuales se ofrecerán para el Departamento en el año 2018.
