Este sábado 21 de
enero se realiza la primera gran jornada de vacunación del año. Inicia a las
8:00 de la mañana y culmina a las 4:00 de la tarde en jornada continua.
El gobernador Alirio
Barrera señaló que esta jornada se adelantará en los 19 municipios del
departamento, a través de 56 puestos de vacunación habilitados para este
proceso.
María Nieves Díaz,
profesional encargada de esta área en la dirección de Salud Pública de la
Secretaría de Salud departamental, resaltó
la importancia de que padres, madres y cuidadores de niños entre los 0 y
los 6 años asistan a la jornada.
“Con esto se aspira
a vacunar a 1.870 niños en todo el Departamento y prevenir el contagio de
21 enfermedades como la poliomielitis,
tuberculosis meníngea, difteria, tétano, haemophilus, hepatitis B, influenza,
rotavirus, sarampión, rubeola, síndrome de rubeola congénita, neumococo, fiebre
amarilla y hepatitis A”, señaló la profesional.
Las vacunas contra
estas enfermedades no deben tener ningún costo.
