Un total de 3 personas resultaron lesionadas con pólvora durante las celebraciones de fin de año y en lo que va corrido del 2024 en el departamento de Casanare, entre ellos, una menor de edad.
De acuerdo con el boletín de Vigilancia Intensificada de lesiones por pólvora pirotécnica e intoxicaciones por fósforo blanco y licor adulterado, estos casos corresponden a los municipios de Paz de Ariporo y Yopal, pacientes de 31 y 25 años de edad, presentando síntomas y consultando el 31 de diciembre y 1 de enero de 2024, respectivamente.
Tatiana Chávez Duque, secretaria de Salud de Casanare indicó que según reporte técnico del Grupo de Vigilancia epidemiológica con base en la ficha de notificación del evento “los artefactos
pirotécnicos, cohetes y voladores, produjeron las lesiones de quemadura en la mano; y, laceración,
contusión y quemadura en la cara y el tronco, ambos de segundo grado con extensión menor o igual al 5% en los pacientes. Ninguno de estos casos se produjo bajo los efectos de alcohol y el lugar del evento fue en vía pública, mientras los lesionados manipulan los artefactos pirotécnicos”.
Así mismo, con corte al 2 de enero, fue notificado un caso confirmado de una menor de 8 años de
edad, procedente de Yopal, quien presentó lesiones en una de sus piernas tras quemadura de
segundo grado con extensión menor o igual al 5%, tras manipular un cohete. Hecho que se produjo
en zona rural.
“Lastimosamente, el departamento llegó a 7 casos de quemados con pólvora durante las fiestas
decembrinas y el inicio del mes de enero, uno de ellos corresponde a una menor de edad”, agregó
la secretaria.
Por último, al comparar con la temporada 2022 – 2023, cuando se notificaron tres casos en el
departamento, se evidencia un incremento del 133% en la notificación de casos de lesiones por
pólvora pirotécnica en Casanare.
