Con una inversión superior a los $15.000 millones, sobre las 3:00 am de este jueves 21 de diciembre, se puso al servicio de la comunidad la variante Los Grillos que habilita la conexión vial en el corredor Sogamoso – Aguazul.
Las obras de construcción de la nueva vía permiten el paso de vehículos a un solo carril, incluidos los de carga de hasta 52 toneladas, para reestablecer la comunicación terrestre entre los departamentos de Boyacá y Casanare por la Transversal del Cusiana. Los vehículos con carga extra dimensionada o extrapesada tendrán restricción por la vía, y la velocidad de circulación será máximo de 20 km por hora.
El nuevo tramo tiene una longitud de 515 metros (m), un ancho de calzada de 5 e incluye la instalación de dos puentes metálicos de 50 m y 30 m de extensión.
Luego de los estudios y diseños realizados por el contratista y aprobados por la interventoría, las obras de construcción de la vía tardaron cerca de 4 meses, afectadas por las condiciones climáticas y de seguridad en el sector.
Recordemos que este corredor vial se habían visto
impactados primero por el deterioro del estribo del puente Quebrada Negra, el pasado 14 de agosto, y luego por el colapso del puente de Los Grillos, de 261 metros de longitud, y el cual hace parte de un viaducto de 666 metros, junto con Puente Nuevo, de 105 metros de extensión, y Chorroblanco de 300 metros, estructuras a las que el Invías les realiza un monitoreo constante.
El Invías también hizo entrega de las obras de estabilización que se realizaron en el kilómetro 87, afectado en noviembre de 2021, por la pérdida de banca, luego de un proceso de remoción en masa. Allí se construyó un sistema de terrazas de 10 niveles con sus respectivas obras de drenaje para garantizar la estabilidad del talud superior y permitir el paso en la calzada que fue recientemente pavimentada.
