Si el departamento aporta un lote
para que la UNAD construya una sede propia, la Universidad estaría en condiciones
de otorgar becas y descuentos a los casanareños, según Henry Herrera director
Regional de la Unad.
Ya se han realizado 3 reuniones entre
las directivas de la UNAD y el gobernador Alirio Barrera, quien ha mostrado el
interés en aportar el terreno para la universidad.
“Hemos visto gran voluntad política
del señor Gobernador Alirio Barrera para que la Universidad Pública tenga sede
propia. Con ello nosotros les aportaremos en contraprestación beneficios a los
casanareños”, explicó Herrera.
Según el directivo de la UNAD, esta
institución lleva prestando servicios educativos en Casanare por más de 21 años
y lo que buscan en ofrecer una sede digna a más de 1.200 estudiantes que hace
parte del alma mater.
